Accessible and personalized pelvic floor therapy for bladder, bowel, sexual health, pelvic pain, pregnancy, and postpartum, delivered one on one by an occupational therapist who specializes in pelvic health.

The pelvic floor muscles form a sling in the pelvis that supports the bladder, uterus, and rectum, allows for bladder and bowel control, supports sexual function, assists with pressure management and circulation, and coordinates with the abdominal and back muscles to provide stability. When these muscles are weak, tight, or not working together well, symptoms can show up in ways that affect your whole day.
We specialize in pelvic health, but we practice integrative care. The pelvis and deep core are not an island. Our assessment and treatment look beyond any given symptom to understand how your environment, background, and overall health intersect. We treat the whole person, because that is where healing happens.
We specialize in treating adult women, and we also provide pediatric pelvic floor therapy.
Bladder and bowel challenges, discomfort with intimacy or medical exams, pregnancy, postpartum, prolapse, and challenges related to menstruation or menopause.
Low back and tailbone pain, recurring UTIs and bacterial or yeast infections, overall weakness, and diastasis recti.
Bedwetting, daytime accidents, constipation, stool withholding, pain with voiding, frequent UTIs, and difficulty with toilet training.
We love to get to know you, what you care about, what you are experiencing, and what your goals are. We respect your time and finances, and tailor each session to your specific needs that day. Your comfort, safety, privacy and dignity are our priority.
We offer a complimentary discovery call where you can ask any questions you may have and see if Thrive is a good fit for you.
We complete a thorough evaluation where we review your medical, symptom, and pain history, in addition to any relevant factors contributing to your condition, including bladder, bowel, and sexual health. We assess your posture, strength, range of motion, balance, and breath. We create goals together that are important to you, and we provide you with a custom exercise plan each visit.
Treatment varies per person and condition, but includes therapeutic exercise and activity, self care and health management recommendations including diet, hydration and sleep considerations, bladder retraining, neuromuscular re-education, stress and emotional health management, manual therapy including myofascial release, massage, scar tissue mobilization and management, and home exercise programs.

I started with Thrive at 6 weeks postpartum with my second baby. I experienced a lot of uncomfort and loss of function with my first. Michaela came to my home, was kind, thorough and helped me heal and strengthen my pelvic floor within just a few weeks. I am pack to strength training, caring for my baby and family without any leakage, pain or discomfort. Reaching out to Michaela at Thrive was one of the best decisions I made for myself !
